At the start of the puppy class, the pups are encouraged to interact and mix with other puppies of a similar age and size, always  on the lead. This prevents older and  larger puppies from becoming too boisterous in their play. Instructors are always on hand to give advice on any teething problems you may be having at home such as house training,  crate training , destructive behaviour etc. The class is then gathered into a large group and training exercises commence.  We will teach handlers how to gain their puppies attention through reward based training. We do encourage handlers  not to feed pups immediately prior to training class and ensure tasty treats are used,  hot dog sausages or meaty treats are ideal.  A variety of exercises will be taught such as puppy recall, the sit, and the down. Such Disciplines should be practised at home daily to achieve the best possible results. Don’t  forget the golden rule , little and often.

PUPPY AGILITY

Puppies are encouraged to use certain agility obstacles such as the tunnels, the  small dog walk and little tyre step over, during their training session. This breaks up the repetition of obedience exercises. It also encourages stimulation and teaches the puppy to listen to you. Puppy agility  can also create confidence and a more enjoyable relationship . We do not have puppies jumping.

As well as encouraging your puppy to enjoy  training at K92000 we want you to have fun and enjoy training your dog with us. We feel our club offers a relaxed atmosphere and as we have the use and comfort of a superb large indoor arena you are guaranteed to stay dry! Please wear suitable footwear . Members of the K92000 Dog Team are usually on hand  to help in the group sessions.
